THE stage version of a Cary Grant film will be performed starting this weekend (Sunday, April 6).
Durham Dramatic Society will present Arsenic and Old Lace at the City Theatre, Fowler’s Yard, Durham City, from April 6 to 12.
The play was written by Joseph Kesselring in 1939 and is described as a farcical black comedy.
It was turned into a 1944 film starring Grant and directed by Frank Capra.
The Durham production stars Henry Cockburn as Mortimer Brewster and is produced by Kate Lawrie.
There will be performances at 7.30pm nightly, plus a Sunday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets are £6.50, with limited concessions available for the matinee priced £5.
