FIRE and rescue crews from Bishop Auckland fire station attended Randolph Street, Coundon Grange, near Bishop Auckland, at 4.20am this morning (Thursday, April 3) to reports of a large shed fire.
Two crews attended the incident and used water jets to tackle the blaze, which was extinguished just after 5am.
CELEBRATORY SERVICE: A service to celebrate 100 years of the Mother’s Union, Crook branch, will be held at St Catherine’s Church, in Crook town centre, on Saturday, April 12, 1.30pm, followed by a buffet tea.
FOLK SHOW: North-East folk trio Loose Connection will perform at Westgate Village Hall, in Weardale, on Saturday, April 12, 7.30pm. Tickets are £7.50, including pie and peas supper, from Peter Nattrass on 01388-517373. Guests are asked to take their own drinks.
