Corydalis open day in Durham

BRIAN Whitton, holder of a plant heritage national collection, will host a corydalis open day at his home, 74 Archery Rise, Durham City, on Sunday (April 13) from 2pm to 4pm.
BOOK SALE: The Durham Palestine Educational Trust will hold a book sale from Thursday, April 10, to Thursday, April 17, in the Pemberton Rooms, Palace Green, Durham, from 10am to 4pm each day. Entry is free.
ART CLASS: Sophy Nixon will run an art class at Durham Free School, Bradford Crescent, Gilesgate, Durham, on six consecutive Wednesday evenings starting on April 23. Sessions run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The programme will cover drawing, painting and collage. The cost is £50 per person, including materials. CANCER SUPPORT: Durham and District Women’s Cancer Support Group will meet in the education department common room at the University Hospital of North Durham on Monday, April 14, at 7pm. Anne Cosgrove will demonstrate Nia exercise routines.
