HISTORY TALK: Crook and District Local History Society is to hear a talk by George Dixon on his ancestor Jeremiah Dixon of the Mason-Dixon Line fame. The talk is tomorrow (Tuesday, April 22) at 7.30pmin the Rafa Spitfire Club, on North Terrace, Crook. Entry is free to society members and £3 to visitors.
BAND NIGHT: The Customs House Big Band is to perform at Spennymoor Settlement Everyman Theatre on Saturday, May 31, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7 and they can be obtained from J Welsh Jewellers, High Street, Spennymoor, or 01388-816430 or online at spennymoorsettlement.co.uk
