Sunday walk for hospice

WILLOW Burn Hospice is holding a sponsored stroll on Sunday (April 27) to raise money for its building appeal.
Between 2 and 5pmwalkers will follow a three-and- a-half mile route from the Three Horseshoes at Maiden Law, near Lanchester, that offers views of the Browney Valley.
Entry costs £10 Afterwards refreshments will be available at the hospice.Walkers can register on the day.
Pools closed: Both swimming pools at the Louisa Centre in Stanley will be closed to the public from 3pm today (Friday, April 25) amd all day tomorrow (Saturday, April 27) and Sunday (April 28) while a swimming gala is held. For details about the centre visit www.leisureworks.net
