POLICE are asking for the public’s help in finding a £3,500 bike stolen from the roof of a car.

The mountain bike had been secured to a car parked in Morrison’s car park on Castlegate, Malton, when it was taken at about 12pm on Monday, April 21.

The Lapierre Zesty, which is black, is made from carbon fibre and valued at £3,500.

PC Melony Pitchford, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said she would like to speak to anyone in the carpark who noticed anyone acting suspiciously at the time, or anyone who has been offered a bike matching the description of the one stolen.
