SOCIAL housing tenants are being offered the opportunity to improve their online IT skills.
The Time To Get Online initiative, a partnership between social housing organisations in County Durham and Durham County Council, is holding sessions in Evenwood and Barnard Castle for Teesdale Housing Association tenants.
The project aims to equip people with the skills required to help them get online and sessions have already taken place in other parts of County Durham.
Debbie Howe, digital inclusion project co-ordinator, said: “The events are going really well and we are looking forward to taking the sessions to Teesdale.”
Sessions take place at the Randolph Centre, in Evenwood, on Thursday, from 10am to 1pm and at the Teesdale Housing Association offices, Redwell Court, on Harmire Road, Barnard Castle, on Wednesday, May 7, from 10am to 1pm.
Participants will be entered into a competition to win a laptop.
Mark Roe, from Bishop Auckland, was chosen as winner from the previous events.
