BUDDING thespians are preparing to perform their interpretation of a popular Shakespeare play.
The Turrets Youth Theatre presents Macbeth at St Mary’s Church, in Barnard Castle, on Friday and Saturday (May 2 and 3).
The concept of the production was developed through workshops and improvisation amongst the group, who have refined the original text to fit within the modern political context of their play.
Tickets cost £6 and £4 and are available from the NeST Gallery or The Moody Bakers, in Barnard Castle.
The group meets at The Witham, every Monday during term-time, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Although members are currently aged 14 and above, the age range will be extended to include youngsters aged from eight-years-old, in September.
Recruitment for new members is currently underway.
