UNUSUAL objects for the garden will go under the hammer at an auction that specialises in outdoor items.
A strangely-shaped bench made out of driftwood, a vintage delivery boy's bike and an old-style cheese press are among the items up for grabs at Barnard Castle auctioneer Addisons' annual garden sale.
Senior auctioneer and valuer Richard Edwards said: "The garden sale has become one of the highlights of the auction calendar.
"It is held right at the start of the gardening season and provides an excellent opportunity for people looking to pick up items that will inject individuality into their latest projects.
"We get all sorts of entries from period chimney pots and old Belfast sinks that look fantastic when planted up to vintage hay spades, apple crates and cartwheels that add a rustic charm to the more rural garden."
The sale takes place on Thursday, May 1, immediately after the fortnightly antiques and interiors auction, which starts at 10am.
