The charity Heel and Toe has been granted planning permission by Durham County Council to convert a loft into a meeting space at the former surgery in Front Street, Pelton, which it is converting into a new base.

Bungalow plan: Durham County Council planning officers have granted planning permission for a detached bungalow to be built in Blind Lane, Chester-le-Street.
