ACTIVITIES and attractions in Shildon could soon be on offer via a mobile phone app.

Durham County Council is looking into creating the I’m Telling app which is still a few months away from becoming live.

County councillors Henry Nicholson and Trish Pemberton, who both cover Shildon, have each given £4,122 from their neighbourhood budgets.

Social housing landlord livin has also donated £420 to the project.

Coun Nicholson said: “It’s to help people to be more aware of what is happening and available to do in Shildon.

“It is thought that the best way to reach people is through their mobile phones and I’m delighted to be involved.”
