FLOWER arrangers are hoping to spread a little love by placing a “lonely bouquet” in a shop window.
Members of Durham Flower Club have placed arrangements in the Gala Theatre, Boots and Millennium Square, in Durham.
Their efforts are part of a national initiative by the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (Nafas) to mark National Flower Arranging Day, which is today (Friday, May 2).
Organisers hope passers-by might take the bouquets home and read an enclosed message about their club.
Durham Flower Club meets at the community hall, Sherburn Village, on the first Thursday of each month, at 2pm. For more information, call Lindy Carre on 0191-383-0577.
