ENJOY a social meal among friends and like-minded people at a lunch club held by Age UK Darlington on the second Tuesday of each month.

Local historian Jean Kirkland will be the guest speaker at the first of the monthly lunch clubs, at Elm Ridge Methodist Church, in Carmel Road South, on Tuesday, May 13, from noon to 2pm.

ON STAGE: Bondgate Players will perform scenes from The Vicar of Dibley from Thursday May 15 to Saturday, May 17. The play will be staged in the President’s Suite at Darlington Mowden Park rugby club, in Neasham Road. The performance contains favourite scenes from the series and features the well-known, quirky characters. Performances start at 7.30pm.
