PEOPLE in the Richmond area are to get a chance for an online talk with their local police.

Inspector Mark Gee and Sergeant Helen Blockley are hosting a live webchat to give residents the opportunity to ask questions about crime and anti-social behaviour in their community.

They will be online between noon and 1pm on Wednesday, May 14 and would like to discuss people's experiences with the police and to hear suggestions about how the service in the county can be improved.

Insp Gee said: "It is really important that we engage with our communities and find out what issues concern them the most.

"Webchats always provide valuable feedback from residents, helping us to understand what is important to them and how we can improve the service we offer."

Those unable to take part in the webchat are asked to send questions via the North Yorkshire Police Twitter account @NYorksPolice using hashtags #LunchtimeLive and #Richmond, or the Facebook page facebook.com/NorthYorkshirePolice
