GREASE was the word among pupils performing to sell-out audiences on four consecutive nights.
Tickets for the performance of the popular musical Grease, by Barnard Castle School students, sold out within a week of going on sale.
The lead roles of Danny and Sandy were played by Ben Wynn-Jones and Chloe Thompson, respectively.
Students also played their parts behind the scenes, helping with technical support, sound, lighting and building props.
A school spokeswoman said: “Drama has always played an important part in school life, bringing together pupils from all walks of school life.
“Grease was another tremendous success.”
