TWO supermarket employees are embarking on a challenge of a lifetime in an effort to raise £6,000 for charity.
Donna Goldsbrough and Amandeep Uppal will trek through the jungle and across the highlands of northern Vietnam in October in aid of Tesco’s charity partner Diabetes UK.
To help them reach their fundraising target, they will be holding a series of events this summer.
The main one will be a family fun day in the car park of Tesco, in St Helen Auckland, on Saturday, June 14. There will be a bungee jump, which is open to volunteers raising £75. So far about 30 people have signed up.
Any community groups or charities wanting a stall are asked to pay £10 to Diabetes UK.
