TWO carers have received national awards for their work with residents in a Bishop Auckland home.
Vivienne Kirwin and Claire Bell have been presented with Four Seasons Health Care Rock awards after being nominated by families at Barrington Lodge Care Home.
Kimberley Brown, who works with Miss Bell, said everyone was delight with the news.
“She is such a kind person and she will do anything for anyone and is very keen,” she said. “She treats people exactly as if they are her own family. This is what you would want if you had a loved one here.
“The awards are to recognise the service provided in the home.”
Senior care assistant Tracey Lyons said: “Some families have nominated these individuals for the role as carers. Vivienne is very caring and has been with us for a few years.”
These awards come just six months after four dementia care nurses at the same home received the same honour for their hard work.
Sarah Clark, Lisa Mcleavy, Katie Roberts and Lerato Mokake were nominated for the Four Seasons Health Care Rock award by Caroline Chapman.
