A SINGING group has undertaken a travelling hymn session to raise funds for Yorkshire Ambulance Service Community First Responders in Wensleydale.
The Rural Belles met in Thornton Stewart Church at 9am before setting off to visit 17 other Dales churches and sing hymns as part of a Dales Roam.
The group started with the hymn Morning has Broken before travelling to churches at Spennithorne, Leyburn, Bellerby, Preston under Scar, Redmire and Castle Bolton.
The Roam continued to churches at Askrigg, Hardraw and Hawes, Stalling Busk, Aysgarth, West Witton, Wensley, Coverham, Middleham, and finished at St. John's Church, in East Witton at 4.30pm, singing final hymn The Day Thou Gavest.
Group member Sylvia Swift said: “Our Dales Roam was a great success.
“The delight of entertaining and the joy of singing in each of these beautiful churches is something we shall all treasure, along with the beautiful views and countryside.”
