THERE is still time to sign up for the St Teresa’s Hospice Midnight Walk in Darlington.
The Midnight Walk is a women-only night-time stroll round Darlington’s South Park which raises vital funds for St Teresa’s Hospice.
Last year’s event raised over £20,000 and organisers hope that the 2014 walk, which takes place on June 20, will prove equally popular.
The latest team to sign up is a group of colleagues from health service provider Heritage Healthcare which has supported the hospice for many years.
Last year Heritage Healthcare staff raised £19,808 for St Teresa’s through a variety of events.
The hospice cares for people from across the region affected by life-limiting illness and it needs to raise around £2.3million per year to maintain its services.
To join the Midnight Walk, collect a form from the hospice or visit www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk, or call 01325 254321.
Registration costs £10 which covers the cost of the event, ensuring that all sponsorship money raised goes to St Teresa’s.
The deadline for entries is June 13.
