HUNDREDS of people flocked to enjoy a day of activities and fun at the weekend.

The Craghead Fun Day, was held Craghead Village Hall and on the Millennium Green, in Craghead, near Stanley, on Saturday and Sunday.

The event was organised by village hall committee members and John Lee O’Briens of O’Briens catering and funfairs.

It included a variety of activities, along with a range of stalls and rides.

Policed officers were on hand to provide free microchipping sessions for dogs. They also took part in a tug-o-war contest with members of the public.

North Durham MP Kevan Jones made an appearance with his black Labrador.
