A NURSERY school is celebrating after being rated one of the top ten most recommended in the region.

House of Eden Nursery, at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe, was named the seventh most recommended children’s nursery in the North-East by daynurseries.co.uk

The awards are based on recommendations from parents, relatives and guardians of children who attend nursery.

House of Eden manager Jan Hooper and her team are thrilled at the recognition.

The nursery was opened in a cottage at Rushyford in 1999 and re-located to the Pioneering Care Centre at Carers Way in 2011.

Many of the original children still keep in touch with the nursery and its staff.

Since then, House of Eden has gone from strength-to-strength and there is now a chain of six nurseries throughout County Durham, stretching from Fishburn to Evenwood.

The nursery is holding its annual summer fair on Saturday, July 5, from 10am to 1pm and all are welcome to attend.
