FOUR first year students studying A Levels at Darlington’s Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College are celebrating after enjoying success in a showjumping competition.

The team won the regional Equestrian ‘Jumping with Style’ arena event at Northallerton Equestrian Centre.

The team consisted of Emma Carvey, Lucy Mulley, Chloe Dods and Sophie Dods and they will now move onto the next round later in the summer.

Paul Carroll, sports development co-ordinator at the college, said: "The college has had a vast interest in horse riding and equestrian events this year and we are now affiliated to the National Schools Equestrian Association, enabling students to compete in a range of competitions.

"Emma, Lucy, Chloe and Sophie are part of this growing group of horse riders in college and we are delighted with their success."
