CRAFT and horticulture enthusiasts are being urged to showcase their creations at a popular summer show.
With only four weeks until Great Aycliffe Show in Newton Aycliffe, entry forms are still available for the handcraft and horticulture competitions.
This year’s handcraft and home produce sections include decoupage, digital art, jewellery, sugar craft, lemon curd and flapjack.
Keen gardeners, meanwhile, can exhibit their wares in a variety of vegetables and flower classes, plus the closely fought pot leeks competition.
The show, organised by Great Aycliffe Town Council, takes place on the showfield at the Oakleaf Sports Complex on Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24.
The deadline for competition entries is Tuesday, August 19.
Prizes of £5, £4 and £3 will be awarded for first, second and third place entries in each category.
In the pot leeks category, the winner receives a portable television, £30 and a trophy, with second and third prizes of £20 and £10 also up for grabs.
Entry forms are available from on 01325 300700, or great-aycliffe.gov.uk
