They are funded by The Big Lottery Fund through their Target Wellbeing Programme, with contributions from Derwentside Homes and Durham county councillors Thomas Nearney and Michelle Hodgson, through their Neighbourhood Budgets.

The sessions are: A Taste of Italy, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Monday, August 4; Asian greens from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday, August 14; herb boxes from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Monday, August 18; turnips galore from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday, August 28 and winter salads from 10am to noon on Saturday, September 6.
