SHOPPERS can pick up a bargain during a city’s second Fiver Fest this August Bank Holiday weekend.
The Fiver Fest in Durham City, from August 21 to 25, is being organised by the Totally Locally Durham campaign, aimed at supporting independent firms in the city centre.
More than 80 businesses have joined the campaign including shops, cafes, attractions and more.
A first Fiver Fest was held in June.
Details of all the offers will be available online at totallylocallydurham.co.uk and the campaign’s Facebook page.
Colin Wilkes, managing director of Durham Markets, said: “You’ve plenty of opportunity to make the most of the Fiver Fest.
“Our first one in June 2014 created a real buzz.
“This time we’re hoping more people will take advantage of the offers available over the Bank Holiday weekend and in the process discover fantastic businesses in Durham that they’ve not used before.”
