A BUSINESSMAN who moved to Darlington five years ago has sponsored 17 youth football teams to give something back to the local community.
Ranj Ali, who owns Class Cuts, on North Road, decided to support the youth teams at Middleton Rangers Football Club after speaking with the club chairman, Les Hughes, while cutting his hair.
Mr Ali said he wanted to give something back to his adopted hometown and has provided kits for each of the 17 youth teams at the club, covering every age range.
The players were presented with their orange kits at Mr Ali’s barber shop.
Mr Ali said: “I just wanted to give something back to the kids of Darlington. I’m very proud of the kits.”
