A CHRISTMAS choir competition reaches its crescendo on Thursday with a grand final at the Cornmill Shopping Centre.
Three choirs will battle it out in the Cornmill Chorus Sing to Win final for the chance to sing at next year’s Christmas lights switch on and a £1,000 prize.
The finalists; Page2Stage Sing Stars from Eaglescliffe, Darlington’s Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College’s Rock Choir and the Willow Green Care Home Songsters, will be judged by a panel including Civic Theatre director Lynda Winstanley and Northern Echo editor Peter Barron.
The final starts at 6pm in the Cornmill’s lower atrium, outside New Look.
