CARE home residents can now indulge in beauty treatments and picnic in an indoor garden following a large-scale refurbishment.
Rose Lodge Care Home in Newton Aycliffe now boasts a beauty room for residents to enjoy pamper sessions together with a revamped lounge for socialising.
The home, part of Countrywide Care Group, has also developed facilities in its specialist dementia unit, including the addition of an indoor garden room so residents with dementia can enjoy the sensations and therapeutic benefits of the outdoors, even in poor weather.
Residents and their families will also be able to picnic in the space.
Nicola Wheatley, Rose Lodge home manager, said: “We are delighted with how our new facilities have turned out.
“We’ve had a very positive response from residents and visitors and we have several other projects in the pipeline that we are very excited about.”
Steven Young, regional director of Countrywide Care Group, said: “Rose Lodge is a home that we are extremely proud of.
“The investment we have made into the refurbishment and development of new facilities has made the surroundings even more welcoming and comfortable for residents and visitors.”
