Lee Arron Hopps and Hayley Samantha McClory at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court this morning
A COUPLE pepper-sprayed by police after allegedly being found having sex in a pub toilet have appeared in court in connection with the incident.
Lee Arron Hopps, 30, and Hayley Samantha McClory, both of Farm Close, Bishop Auckland, denied using threatening and abusive words or behaviour and obstructing a police officer in the Stanley Jefferson public house, in Bishop Auckland, on Wednesday, January 28.
Miss McClory, 23, also denied a further charge of threatening a police officer when they both appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court this morning.
The case has been adjourned for trial on Wednesday, June 10.
