QUESTION
My 6 mth old Westie has had two fits. She has had all the bloods etc and my vets want to send her for a brain scan and take some fluid from around her brain as well as other tests. There are no known problems in her line. We are so worried and don't known what the cause of these seziures are. If you could help in any way we would be very greatfull. We have searched the web and can only find info on certian breeds and ageing dogs. Waiting in anticipation for your reply.

If your vet has serious concerns about the fits, then if you have access to an mri scanner and can aafford it, then this will give you a clear yes, the dog is epileptic, or, no there is another problem. go for it! you will feel releived whatever the outcome.
