AN organisation is hoping to recruit gardening volunteers of all ages at an event today.
Groundwork West Durham and Darlington will be attending the What's On in Woodhouse event, at Auckland Youth and Community Centre, Bishop Auckland.
They will promote the Garden Doctor Scheme, to be launched in the Woodhouse Close area in the spring.
A potential Garden Doctor would be someone with good gardening knowledge.
Joanne Morley, from Groundwork, said: "Becoming a Garden Doctor could be a rewarding and fun experience, giving volunteers the chance to meet new people and become a part of the community."
Anyone living in the Woodhouse Close area who is interested is encouraged to visit the exhibition between 10am and 3pm, or contact Ms Morley on 01388-662666.
