A CHARITY shop was reopened to the public yesterday after refurbishment.
The British Heart Foundation shop, in Yoden Way, Peterlee, was opened by the town's mayor, Bob Kyle. The shop closed for renovation earlier this month - it now has new lights and laminate flooring. The exterior has undergone a facelift, including new signs.
Nigel Bullock, shops area manager for the foundation, said: "We are delighted with the changes that have been made to the shop, it looks fantastic. We hope that the local community will continue to support it as they have done so magnificently in the past." The shop is urgently appealing for quality clothes, accessories, books, videos, CDs and bric-a-brac. To donate items, or to arrange for a free collection service, supporters should call into the shop or ring 0191-518-0027. The shop also needs volunteers.
