AN evening of musical entertainment will take place at a secondary school tonight.
Pupils from Wensleydale School, in Leyburn, are staging the event to raise money for the Amala Children's Home, in southern India.
The concert will take place in the school hall from 7.30pm.
The organisers are young musicians Harriet Orkney, Olivia Burton, James Yeadon and Alice Milverton.
Alice, 15, said: "It is so exciting to be using our knowledge and love of music to raise money, which will help so many children live a better life."
Harriet, 14, said: "Organising the event has been a very enjoyable challenge, so to all of those who have supported us, thank you."
The children's home provides accommodation and schooling for about 100 children aged four to 16. A further 265 children attend the school and kindergarten as day pupils.
Every other year, the North Yorkshire school sends a team of students to Amala to teach and care for the children.
Money raised at the concert will help fund the next trip.
Tickets for the event are £5, and £3.50 those under 16.
They are available on 01969-622244 or 01969-663505.
