APPEAL: Police appeal made to locate vandals who damaged a children's play area
POLICE are appealing for help after vandals damaged a children’s play area and threw items such as plant pots.
The damage was caused at the Children’s Sure Start Centre in Evenwood, near Bishop Auckland, at some point on the evening of Tuesday, April 28.
It is believed that the vandals scaled the fence at the rear of the play area and then damaged trellis fencing, a water butt and a shed door.
A number of items including plant pots, children’s toys and gardening items were damaged.
Anyone with any information on the crime or who saw anything suspicious should contact PC Jamie Pitt, of Bishop Auckland police, on 101.
