SCOUTS from across the North-East came together to mark the centenary of the movement in a service at Durham Cathedral.
Members of more than 100 Scout and Explorer Scout groups proudly flew their flags at the event attended by representatives of every scout group in County Durham and Tyne and Wear, all aged six to 18.
The service was led by the Reverend Keith Lumsdon, from St Luke's Church, in Ferryhill.
Afterwards the Scouts lined up outside on Palace Green for a special photograph taken from the top of the cathedral's main tower.
