It is set to be chilly in Darlington and across the North East today as the Met Office predicts low temperatures set to feel like -3C by late this evening.
Winter and the cold temperatures it brings are only set to continue today (January 12) as we move into the weekend as forecasters have stated that temperatures will drop to 0C by late this evening.
Temperatures will reach a high of 5C and stagnate until 3pm, but is then set to drop to a low of 0C by 11pm this evening.
No rain is expected today, say the Met Office.
Moving to the weekend, the County will see a warmer day on Saturday as temperatures reach 7C with sunshine, but Sunday is expected to bring low temperatures of -1C.

The forecaster predicts: “Cloudy this morning, the cloud perhaps thick enough for some isolated drizzle, but many places staying dry.

“Some brighter spells may develop, these most likely in the north. Chilly with generally light winds. Maximum temperature 5 °C.”
