Freezing temperatures will continue throughout the day today (Wednesday, January 10).

Forecasters predict a sunny day but the sun won’t owe to warm temperatures as it’ll be very cold throughout the day.

Some wintry showers with bitter raw winds are also possible in coastal areas, the Met Office has said.

Freezing temperatures will continue with the mercury hardly making it into the positives and minus temperatures dominating for most of the day.

And the cold temperatures won’t end over the next few days as it’ll stay cold into the weekend.

What will the weather be like later in the week?

On Thursday it’ll be dry and sunny but again staying very cold throughout the region.

Heading into the weekend the cold weather is expected to continue, although warming up slightly through Saturday with more wet and windy weather into Sunday.
