A council have issued a warning after reports of fly tipping on a County Durham which has been closed due to a landslip.
Durham County Council have said monitoring is now in effect after reported fly-tipping on C31 Crakehill Bank, located between Hamsterley and Witton-le-Wear.
The road is currently closed due to a landslip which occurred in January last year.
A Durham County Council spokesperson said: “Monitoring is now in effect following several reports of fly tipping on a road, currently closed due to a landslip.
“As land negotiations continue, a design consultant has been appointed to develop a detailed design on the C31 Crakehill Bank.
“Individuals are urged to respect the road closure and use the diversion provided.”

Images show garden waste dumped and strewn across the road by the road barricade.
A design to repair the road is expected to be complete and announced in May this year, while planning permission is slated to be submitted in August.
The road is one of the access routes to Hamsterley Forest.
