An all-ladies choir are performing a spring concert at a North Yorkshire church to raise money for two local cancer fundraisers.

Musicality Choir are holding a singing concert in St Michael and All Angels Church in Middleton Tyas at 7pm on on Saturday April 27.

The event is in aid of two villagers who have been diagnosed with cancer. The choir also hopes to attract new members to the group.

The choir will be singing a mixture of genres including Broadway hits, pop songs, folk music, gospel and much more.

Hana Buhlova, choir member and soloist, said: “Singing is very sociable, it reduces stress, and you build great friendships.

“Come along to rehearsals to see what you think, we are very friendly and would love more ladies to join our choir.”

The choir was founded over 15 years ago and has 25 members aged between 30 and 80 years old.

Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at Richmond Methodist Church.
