Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire at a Darlington industrial estate this morning.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) confirmed they were called to the blaze on Faverdale Industrial Estate in Darlington shortly before 8am on Thursday (April 18)
They confirmed they deployed one fire engine to the scene, and said the fire had spread from a car to the premises of a business.
Breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera were used as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
A County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At 7.47am today (April 18), our control room received reports of a fire at a premises on Faverdale Industrial Estate, in Darlington.

“One fire engine from Darlington Fire Station attended the incident and discovered a fire had spread from a car to the premises of a business on the estate.
“Firefighters used breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the blaze.
“The crew left the scene at around 8.33am.”
