Art show at Victorian school in Crook

A VICTORIAN school turned community centre will host its third annual art show and sale next weekend.

Since being converted from a primary school into a community centre three years ago, the St Cuthbert’s Centre, in Crook , has played host to numerous artistic, theatrical and artistic events.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16, the centre, in Church Hill, will host its annual art show and sale.

Roger Kelly, from the centre, said: “We have some familiar names from previous shows – Ian Gow, David Blinkhorn, The Little Hut – to name just three.

“We also have some newcomers displaying their work for the first time in Crook.

“It’s a great exhibition with great talent and gifts on show in this wonderful centre.

“We are hoping we will get a good turnout.”

Anyone interested in displaying their work is asked to contact Vanessa Kelly on 01388-730495 or vnss87@ yahoo.co.uk
