Town hosts fun day and festival

TALENTED young musicians are lining up to showcase their skills at a music festival and family fun day in Crook tomorrow.
Three Towns Area Action Partnership has teamed up with West Durham Youth and Community Resources to bring Crook Music Festival to Glenholme Park.
Local bands will take to the stage, while giant inflatables, a climbing wall, arts, crafts and other activities will keep youngsters entertained.
Ian Lyle, chairman of West Durham Youth and Community Resource, said: “This festival will promote local young talent and is an all-round family event.”
Bands include The Silence, Stephen Wilson, Allegro Bay, Violet Bloom and Durham’s Got Talent finalists sRs.
It will be an alcohol-free event and the fun takes place from noon to 6.30pm.
