Arts group meets for future talks

ONE of Darlington’s biggest arts groups is to hold a meeting to discuss the future direction of the organisation.

Darlington Media Group, one of the groups now based at The Bridge, on the corner of Yarm Road and Hundens Lane, have asked for as many people as possible to attend the meeting on Saturday, September 29.

Members will be able to tour the site between 11am and 2pm, before the meeting at 2.30pm.

Stephen Wiper, manager of Creative Darlington, will also attend the meeting to speak about The Bridge and to answer members’ questions.

A spokesman for Darlington Media Group said: “This is an important meeting as we need to sort out the direction for the group and how it will benefit not just members but The Bridge and the wider community.

“We have some ideas that we would like to put forward but would also like to hear from members. If you have any great ideas that can help keep the media group sustainable and continue to be a resource for the community we are all ears.”
