A DARLINGTON supermarket has shown its support for a local mother and toddler group by donating refreshments for upcoming meetings.
Louise Gibson, community life champion, for the Asda store on Whinbush Way, took hampers with drinks, refreshments and children’s toys to Springfield Mother and Toddler Group, who hold their sessions at the Salvation Army on Thompson Street, Darlington.
The group toddler group was also a runner up in Asda’s Chosen by You Given by Us public vote, which sees three local organisations voted for by the public.
General store manager Peter Short said: “The Springfield Mother and Toddler Group is a great example of an organisation which makes a difference in the local area. We’re pleased that we can support groups in Darlington in this way.
