Bishop Auckland woman offers reward for missing engagement ring

A WOMAN is appealing for the safe return of a highly sentimental engagement ring that fell off her finger on Monday (October 16).

Gabrielle Taylor, from Bishop Auckland, received the aquamarine gem with three small diamonds on each side, set in a silver metal ring, while on holiday in Mexico earlier this month.

She said it was a slightly too big for her, but when she got home the colder weather meant it felt even larger on her finger.

She said:  “On Monday evening I remember having it on my finger as I drove to Morrisons in Bishop Auckland, but when I got back to my flat I realised it was gone.

“I parked close to the entrance and retraced my steps, but could not find it.”

Miss Taylor said the ring is an antique and she is prepared to pay a significant reward if it is returned.

If found it can be handed in to Bishop Auckland police or contact The Northern Echo on 01388-602232.
