TWO men have appeared in court in connection with a £23,000 cannabis discovered in a County Durham home.
Craig Philip Beal, 23, of Mayfield Walk, St Helen Auckland, and Bradley John Dixon, 18, of Braithwaite Street, Bishop Auckland, are accused of producing a Class B drug.
It follows the discovery by police of 93 cannabis plants in a house on Grey Street, Bishop Auckland, on May 30.
The plants would have created a yield of 4.19kg, which has a street value of £23,000 or £6,000 if sold in bulk.
Mr Beal and Mr Dixon did not enter a plea when they appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court today (October 19).
The pair, who were both granted unconditional bail, will return to court on December 14, when they will be committed to Durham Crown Court.
