Craft fair: Perkinsville Methodist Church, near Chester-le-Street, will hold an arts and craft fair on Friday and Saturday November 2 and 3 from 10am to 3pm. Stalls will include cakes, fancy hoods and tombola and refreshments and bacon sandwiches will be available until noon.

Advice session: Durham Citizens Advice Bureau will hold an advice session on Thursday, October 25, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm in West Rainton Jubilee Hall.

Kids crafts: An eight-week art and craft course for children aged five to 12 starts on Saturday, October 27, at the Chester-le-Street Community Centre, Newcastle Bank, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. It costs £52. For details and enrolment call 0191-388 4752.
