Police are warning drivers to take care on the roads tonight - as temperatures are set to drop below freezing.
Possible some of the flood surface water still on the roads could turn to ice.

Darlington Borough Council has updated its list of roads still closed due to flooding:
- Staindrop Road - closed between Edgecombe Drive to Walworth Castle turn off
- Haughton Road - closed from McMullen Road to Blackett Road
- Redmarshall Road - closed from the Whinney Hill to Bishopton Road to borough boundary
- Newton Lane - closed from Walworth Road to Back Lane

The current level of the River Ouse in York is 4.54m above nornal. The river peaked at 4.57m at 4am today. All rivers in the city's catchment are now past their peak and levels are slowly decreasing.
The city's annual festive St Nicholas Fayre is going ahead this Thursday, Friday , Saturday and Sunday.

HIGHWAYS AGENCY UPDATE
Work is continuing to clear a number of localised flooding incidents on the A19 (Thirsk to Seaton Burn) and the A1 at Catterick. Pumps have also been deployed this afternoon to areas previously affected by flooding run-off from adjacent fields, including the A1 at Hackforth, as a preventative measure.
Various lane and slip road closures remain in place on all these routes while this work is ongoing, and long delays are possible.
The A66 at Ravensworth, North Yorkshire, which had been closed for repair work to the carriageway following damage caused by flooding, is now fully open.
The A66 at Long Newton, which had been closed due to flooding, has also been fully reopened.

A1 UPDATE
One lane closed and queueing traffic due to flooding on A1 Northbound from A6136 Leeming Lane (Catterick South) to A6136 Gatherley Road (Catterick North), congestion on A1 to A1(M) J51 / A6055 Leeming Lane / Back Lane Leeming Bar. Travel time is 30 minutes. Lane one (Of two) is closed.

RAIL UPDATE
Revised service on CrossCountry between Newcastle and York due to overhead line problems between Durham and Darlington. Tickets being accepted on East Coast and First TransPennine Express services. An hourly service is now running between Newcastle and York. Also affecting First Transpennine Express. East Coast services are not affected.

RAIL UPDATE
Service suspended on First Transpennine Express between Darlington and Durham due to landslip. Tickets being accepted on East Coast and CrossCountry services. A landslip at Aycliffe means the line is closed until at least Sunday 2nd December. A shuttle train runs between Durham and Newcastle. Services between york and Middlesbrough are not affected.
