ELECTRIC WORKS: Drivers are being warned that temporary two-way lights are to be installed at Menceforth Cottages, on Pelton Fell Road, Chester-le-Street. Work will start on January 8 and continue until January 16 to allow contractors to carry out work on the electricity system.
BUNGALOW PLAN: A planning application to build two detached bungalows on land next to Ellerbourne Terrace, in Station Town, has been approved by Durham County Council.
