A FAMILY fun day is to be held to mark the re-opening of a swimming pool following a two-month refurbishment The new-look swimming pool at Chester-le-Street leisure centre is to re-open on Monday, January 14.
The council-run pool will have a new timetable, which includes more public and lane swimming sessions.
To mark the re-opening, a family fun day will be held on Sunday, January 20, between 9am and 2pm where people will be able to swim for just 13p.
The event will also include free face painting, entry to the indoor adventure play area, arts and crafts and an aqua-inflatable session between noon and 1pm.
